Oracle Developer – Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer with strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, integrations, and enterprise application implementations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting Oracle-based solutions that enable procurement and accounts payable processes. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills and functional understanding of the end-to-end P2P lifecycle.
The candidate should be comfortable working throughout the implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle database solutions supporting Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
- Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and other database objects.
- Write complex SQL queries involving multiple tables, joins, subqueries, aggregations, and set operations.
- Develop solutions supporting key P2P processes
- Participate in Oracle implementation and enhancement projects across the full lifecycle:
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot integrations between Oracle and external applications.
- Support document and approval-related integrations, including DocuSign, where applicable.
- Collaborate with integration and security teams on Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations and related authentication mechanisms.
- Work with technologies and protocols such as SAML and OAuth where required.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize database queries and PL/SQL code.
- Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, test scripts, and deployment documentation.
- Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, QA teams, integration teams, and other technical stakeholders.
- Participate in post-production support and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Oracle / SQL / PL/SQL
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience developing complex SQL queries
- Strong understanding of SQL joins and it's differences in functions.
- Strong understanding of UNION and UNION ALL and when to use each.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, relationships, and data integrity.
- Understanding of DDL and DML, including commands such as:
- DDL: CREATE, ALTER, DROP, TRUNCATE
- DML: INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, MERGE
- Ability to analyze query performance and optimize SQL/PL/SQL code.
Procure-to-Pay Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of PO matching
- Experience working with Oracle-based procurement, financial, or accounts payable systems is highly desirable.
Implementation Experience
- Experience participating in Oracle implementation, upgrade, enhancement, or integration projects.
- Ability to clearly explain individual responsibilities and contributions throughout an implementation.
- Experience working with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Integrations
- Experience developing or supporting Oracle integrations with internal and external systems.
- Understanding of integration patterns, APIs, web services, interfaces, and data exchange.
- Experience with DocuSign integration or configuration is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, and interface errors.
Security / SSO
- Understanding of enterprise authentication and security concepts.
- Experience supporting or collaborating on Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols such as:
- SAML and OAuth/OAuth 2.0
- Ability to work with security and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot authentication and access-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite, or Oracle Cloud/Oracle Fusion Applications.
- Experience with Oracle Procurement, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, or Financial modules.
- Experience with Oracle integration technologies and enterprise interfaces.
- Experience supporting large-scale Oracle implementations.
- Experience with performance tuning and database optimization.
- Experience working in Agile or other structured software development methodologies.
