The Operations Data Analyst supports manufacturing and production operations by analyzing, validating, and organizing operational data to improve process efficiency, reporting accuracy, and decision support. The role focuses on production-line data, reporting automation, and data-driven process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
This position works closely with the Data Operations and Manufacturing teams and reports to the Data Operations Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review manufacturing and production operations data to support process improvement and productivity initiatives.
- Prepare, clean, and validate production and operational datasets for internal use and third-party reporting requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel (advanced), Power Query, and Power BI.
- Execute data workflows and automation using Power Automate based on defined operational requirements.
- Support production planning and operations teams by providing accurate, timely, and well-structured data inputs.
- Monitor data consistency and accuracy across production lines and operational reports.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate data, clarify requirements, and resolve data discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation of data sources, reports, processes, and automation outputs.
- Provide factual, data-backed insights to support continuous improvement and operational decision-making.
- Continuously build technical skills in data analysis, SQL, and system-based automation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production operations environment, with exposure to:
- Operations or production data analysis
- Process improvement or productivity initiatives
- Manufacturing or plant-level reporting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and Power Query.
- Working knowledge or experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is preferred.
- Experience supporting production lines, operations reporting, or planning-related data is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large operational datasets.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
