Job Summary

  • The Operations and Compliance Specialist is responsible for driving operational excellence and regulatory adherence across all Niche Markets and Payments Ecosystem programs. The core mandate of this role is to monitor, measure, and improve end-to-end process efficiency, with a critical focus on ensuring services are delivered consistently within defined Turn Around Time (TAT).

How will you contribute

  • Establishes, monitors, and reports on the TAT for all critical operational processes within the division.
  • Proactively identifies bottlenecks and process exceptions that impact service delivery speed and quality.
  • Reviews, streamlines, and formally documents new and existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all NMPED programs, focusing on mid- and back-office functions to ensure operational alignment and minimize risk.
  • Conducts regular analysis of operational workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, straight-through processing, and overall control effectiveness.
  • Serves as the primary operational point-person, coordinating with both internal partners and external partners to implement solutions for inter-group/partner operational efficiency.
  • Ensures the division's programs and processes are strictly compliant with internal bank policies, circulars, and all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Monitors the strict implementation of key branch advisories and guidelines, such as, but not limited to, the proper utilization of Free Text 13 Field for tagging Niche and Payments Ecosystem programs to ensure proper client attribution and program monitoring.
  • Assists in the due diligence process and documentation for new client onboarding
  • Manages and monitors the documentation and regularization of operational exceptions and policy deviations, coordinating with the relevant control units

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Legal Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in banking operations, compliance, risk, or internal audit role, preferably within the Retail Banking or Payments/Fintech space.
