Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily shipyard operations: carpentry, mechanical works, steelworks, electrical repairs, and afloat maintenance.
Prepare and submit daily accomplishment reports with photos and progress updates.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Head Office for materials, tools, and job order requests.
Monitor and validate all material requests from foremen and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
Lead and supervise carpenters, welders, mechanics, painters, helpers, and vessel crew assigned to repairs.
Check and maintain accuracy of job orders, work scopes, and timelines per vessel.
Conduct basic inspections of equipment and machinery and report findings.
Ensure implementation of safety practices and coordinate with the Safety Officer.
Monitor in-and-out movement of vessels, repairs, and support requirements.
Assist in planning preventive maintenance and documenting recurring defects.
Ensure compliance with company processes, proper filing, and accurate documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience in shipyard operations, vessel repair, or marine maintenance is an advantage (but not required for fast learners).
Strong leadership and coordination skills; able to supervise multiple work groups.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities (Excel, Word, daily logs).
Knowledgeable in basic mechanical, electrical, and hull repairs is a plus.
Has the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to work on-site
