About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Assistant to perform messengerial and office custodian tasks. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager for Operations.
Main Tasks as Messenger
- Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to the intended location or recipient in a timely manner.
- Manages incoming mail so that it is opened, sorted, and distributed in a professional and timely manner.
- Processes outgoing mail.
- Plans the most efficient and expedient delivery route from place to place; organizes deliveries accordingly.
- Obtains required signatures and/or payments at time of delivery.
- Maintains accurate records related to the receipt and delivery of packages, documents, messages, and other items, including tracking time of and parties to the delivery.
- May perform office, clerical, and other related duties as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Main Tasks as Office Custodian
- Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures.
- Assists in cleaning and sanitizing the office workplace.
- Maintains cleaning supplies are stocked.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of customer service.
- Knowledgeable and capable of operating computer systems and productivity applications like MS Office and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to maintain the safety and security of packages, documents, messages, and other items received or being delivered.
- Thorough understanding of maps and directions
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
- Ability to interact with staff, client and visitors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
