Role Overview
The Risk Manager will be responsible for assessing operational risks, maintaining control library, and ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and external frameworks. This individual will work directly with product, engineering, and operations teams to support risk assessments, gather evidence of control operation, and respond to internal and external assurance activities.
The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, hands‑on experience with control testing or audit, and the ability to translate complex risk requirements into actionable guidance for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Risk & Control Framework Execution
- Conduct risk assessments for new product features, changes, and initiatives in partnership with SMEs and first‑line teams.
- Document, test, and maintain inventory of local divisional controls
- Evaluate compliance with existing LSEG policies and standards, and assess the impact of proposed policies or standards changes on PTS controls and processes.
- Maintain the PTS control library within the GRC system, ensuring consistent quality and completeness.
- Support governance processes, including preparation of materials for internal reviews, audits, and committee meetings.
- Coordinate and document operational incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and track remediation actions to closure.
- Work with second-line risk, compliance, and internal audit during reviews and assurance activities.
Control Testing & Evidence Management
- Work with control owners to collect, validate, and store evidence of control operation.
- Establish and maintain a centralized evidence repository to support audits, internal assessments, and second‑line assurance.
- Monitor the timely submission of evidence (e.g., monthly/quarterly) and ensure proper recordkeeping.
- Support internal assessments and remediation tracking.
- Provide guidance and training to control owners and product teams to strengthen risk awareness and control execution.
Business & Product Understanding
- Develop a strong understanding of all PTS product offerings to ensure accurate risk identification and evaluation.
- Communicate risk and control expectations clearly to cross‑functional teams.
Operational Responsibilities
- Partner with PTS team members globally to continuously improve the risk management lifecycle.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and follow through on issues, gaps, and enhancements until resolution
Qualifications & Experience
- proven experience in operational risk, control testing, information security, or related fields.
- Experience with risk frameworks and standards such as SOC 1 / SOC 2, ISO 27001; Financial services experience is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with GRC tools and evidence management processes.
