Job Description

The Head of Operational Excellence is responsible for driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and productivity across the organization. This role leads the design and execution of Operational Excellence strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance quality, and ensure scalable, sustainable operations aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Develop and lead the company's Operational Excellence roadmap, aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Serve as a change leader embedding a continuous improvement culture across all functions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify operational bottlenecks and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and automation initiatives across operations.
  • Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies, redundancies, and waste.
  • Standardize best practices, SOPs, and governance frameworks across departments.
  • Define and track operational KPIs (cost, quality, productivity, cycle time, service levels).
  • Establish performance dashboards and review mechanisms to ensure accountability.
  • Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.
  • Lead organization‑wide change management efforts for transformation initiatives.
  • Build internal capabilities through training, coaching, and mentoring of OpEx champions.
  • Promote data‑driven decision‑making and problem‑solving discipline.
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, IT, and Quality teams to ensure integrated improvements.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by aligning processes with system capabilities.
  • Ensure process compliance, internal controls, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance through process discipline and documentation.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
  • MBA or Master's degree is highly preferred

Professional Experience

  • 10–15 years total experience in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Transformation
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Head, Director, or equivalent) managing cross‑functional or enterprise‑wide initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in driving cost reduction, productivity improvement, and service quality enhancement
  • Experience leading large‑scale change and transformation programs
