Online Buying Assistant will be responsible for these core areas of focus:

Online Buying Assistant will include but are not limited to:
Buying & Product Function
Work with the Buyer to review and understand merchandise plans including:
- Provide efficient and timely support to the Online Buyer/ Category Manager, handling portfolio management and administration
- Assist in weekly and monthly reporting for the Online Buyer/ Category Manager.
- Undertake item registration and maintenance. Manage and validate product detail from vendors.
- Monitor sales trends and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain market awareness in terms of competitor strategies, pricing, service offerings and overall positioning.
- Coordinate with customer service to address inquiries.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with external suppliers, ensuring prompt responses and issue resolution.
- Deputising for the Online Buyer/ Category when necessary.
- Liaising with Buyer on vendor compliance issues and stock availability driving a speedy resolution.
- Assist with stock and order replenishment.
- Participating in vendor meetings as required.
- Quantify and create purchase orders based on allocation requirements.
- Communication to stakeholders, both internally and externally in a timely manner.
- Assist and coordinate the Onboarding of new suppliers, adhere to internal processes.
Marketing & Administration Support
- Support the build of promotional plans and product offer details adhering to relevant process
- Follow up on queries, image sourcing and copy information from suppliers when necessary.
- Maintain product keywords, attributes, search optimization, and overall product sell ability.
- Ensure accuracy of advertisements, including images, multipliers, size charts, etc
- Follow all compliance practices for advertising materials.
- Attend to and resolve merchandise queries raised by the internal stakeholders, DC and vendors in a timely manner
- Work with an communicate with wider marketing team regarding products and promotions.
- Liaise and work with demand planning team to ensure stock to ensure adequate stock positions in place to meet Business Unit KPI's.
eCommerce & Marketplace Optimisation
- Collaborate with digital marketing, marketplace and advertising teams to create campaigns that drive traffic and conversions.
- Monitor price position in market for the online range using price scraping tools. Work with Online Buyer/ Category Manager to optimise price in market as required.
