About Our Client

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a company operating in the data center and digital infrastructure industry, providing critical infrastructure that supports enterprise computing, cloud services, and high-performance computing environments.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Server Operations & Maintenance Engineer to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of high-density server clusters. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT infrastructure professional who enjoys hands-on technical troubleshooting, server hardware maintenance, and working in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the reliable day-to-day operation and maintenance of server clusters and IT infrastructure in a data center environment.
• Perform server installation, rack mounting, cabling, hardware replacement, firmware updates, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot server, storage, network connectivity, and operating system issues, escalating complex incidents to engineering teams, OEMs, or vendors as needed.
• Monitor server and cluster health, alarms, capacity, and performance using monitoring, ticketing, and data center infrastructure management systems.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians during maintenance activities, deployments, incident response, and scheduled maintenance windows.
• Maintain accurate records of server assets, spare parts, maintenance activities, and incident tickets.
• Prepare and improve standard operating procedures, maintenance documentation, troubleshooting guides, and shift handover reports.
• Coordinate with network teams, equipment vendors, logistics providers, site operators, and customers to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Participate in shift coverage, on-call support, emergency response, and disaster recovery exercises as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Networking, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data center operations, server infrastructure, hardware maintenance, or field engineering.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server platforms such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, Inspur, H3C, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of server hardware, storage systems, cabling, network switches, optical transceivers, power distribution, and rack-level troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server environments, networking fundamentals, and hardware diagnostic tools.
• Experience using ticketing systems, monitoring platforms, and asset management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a mission-critical operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with NVIDIA platforms, AI/HPC clusters, or high-density computing environments.
• Exposure to large-scale server deployment, commissioning, and automated operating system installation.
• Previous experience guiding junior technicians or serving as a technical or site lead.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista networking equipment and DCIM/BMS platforms.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Linux, ITIL, CDCP, or equivalent are an advantage.
