About This Role

The Subnational Project Officer will coordinate project implementation at provincial and highly urbanized city levels and serve as focal points for local stakeholder engagement. This role is crucial in driving field-level coordination with LGUs, health offices, schools, and local partners to strengthen HPV vaccination planning, decision-making, and demand generation across target areas in the Philippines.

Required Experience And Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in public health, immunization programs, health systems strengthening, or project management.
• Proven track record working directly with provincial, city, municipal, or regional government offices (DOH, DepEd, DILG, and LGUs).
• Experience supporting planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation activities at the sub-national level.
• Demonstrated experience conducting training, mentoring, and community-level capacity-building activities.
  
  

Primary Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Support the implementation of project activities within assigned sub-national areas; coordinate closely with LGUs, health offices, schools, and local stakeholders; and monitor progress against work plans and target coverage.
• Technical Support & Capacity Building: Provide direct implementation support to local partners, facilitate capacity-building activities and local consultations, and fulfill routine monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Maintain productive working relationships with local government counterparts, health officers, and school administration while strengthening coordination among project partners and local communities.
• Safeguarding: Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Safeguarding Policy.
