About the role

We are currently searching for an Officer Accounting to join our dynamic team based in Manila. In this role, you will be the main point of contact and/or subject matter expert for a specific team/process/sub stream within a specific process and/or in scope countries. You will be responsible in Staff Quality Review and as first level support for resolving issues. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you will be doing

People Leadership

  • Assisting the Supervisor in Process/Peer Coaching, conduct one on one with coordinator and below, identifying/implementing process training within the Workstreams.
  • Use the programs/activities identified approved by GBSLT in conducting trainings.
  • Checking and reporting that all employees are properly trained, with proposed action on areas for improvement
  • Implementation and Compliance of GBS strategies, policies, rules and regulations

Process Leadership

  • Support supervisor with managing specific process, ensure alignment, reporting and communication including appropriate
  • workload allocation, execution of appropriate backup systems, monitoring of volume and productivity.
  • Drive, cooperate, manage and support process improvement projects.
  • Set up and ensure accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for all processes
  • Ensure compliance to internal control standards.
  • Support incoming transitions by ensuring successful integration of processes into current operations.

Operations

  • Ensure that all KPIs are met
  • Provide accurate internal and external operational performance reporting to include issues/escalations and KPIs of specific team/process/substream.
  • Support in monitoring of team attendance including leaves and overtime.
  • Recording, analysis and review of data in system related to general ledger record keeping (Manual Journal Entries, Intercompany & Fixed Assets)
  • Prepare & Review Balance Sheet Reconciliations and perform Balance Sheet Maintenance (clearing and monitoring of open items)
  • Perform end-to-end Fixed Assets process
  • Perform Intercompany Processes including Mismatch Investigations
  • Perform Month End Activities & ensure month end checklist is completed
  • Perform & Review HFM Reporting and relevant SAP to HFM Reconciliations
  • Assist in providing internal and external audit requirement
  • Respond to GA inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Research and resolve exceptions and issues
  • Ensure stakeholder needs against agreed SLAs are met.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly and/or pre-close/post close stakeholder meeting with key regional contacts for a purpose to gather feedback and agreed action plans.

Ad Hoc Duties

  • Participate in OHI Survey and Employee Engagement Activities as initiated by Admin, HR and Management.

What you will bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Finance / Accounting department of a large corporate organisation, including 1 year of coaching/teaching experience
  • Possess strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices and internal policy
  • Well versed with ERP and other business / accounting tools
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills (proficiency in conversational and business english language both written and verbal).
