BASIC FUNCTION
The Company Nurse provides medical assistance, first aid, and health monitoring to employees. The role maintains accurate clinic records, supports health-related programs, and ensures proper coordination with HR and other departments regarding employee well-being and occupational health requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first aid treatment and basic medical care to employees experiencing illness or injury while at work.
- Administer approved over-the-counter medications in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked clinic area.
- Record and monitor all employee consultations, treatments, and medical concerns while ensuring confidentiality of information.
- Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly clinic reports as required by management.
- Conduct routine health monitoring and assist in implementing wellness activities or health campaigns.
- Coordinate with HR for fit-to-work evaluations, return-to-work updates, and health advisories for employees.
- Assist in identifying basic workplace health risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Help facilitate emergency response activities, including drills and real-time incident support.
- Maintain inventory of medicines, supplies, first aid kits, and ensure availability of emergency equipment.
- Assist in compliance with occupational health standards and documentation required by government agencies.
- Provide guidance to employees regarding basic health concerns and proper self-care practices.
- Attend required health or safety seminars, workshops, and training sessions.
- Perform other health-related tasks as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION GUIDES
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduate.
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred but not required
- Preferably with experience in clinical, company, or occupational nursing; fresh graduates may be considered
- Knowledge of basic emergency care and first aid.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information.
- Calm and professional during emergencies.
