New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing Engineer

Molex Integrated Products Philippines, Inc., is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing Engineer to join our dynamic Sourcing team. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvements in the supply chain, support cost reduction initiatives, and contribute to the development of new projects.

Our Team

You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams internally and with external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and supplier management.

What You Will Do

Collaborate with PM & Cross Functional teams upfront to ensure new project flawless launch on time.

• BOM cost alignment/accuracy NPD BOM
• Set up info-record in SAP
• Supplier readiness
• Material deliverable on time for sample build
• PPAP/component qualification on time

Consolidate supply base and spend across different new programs/projects and leverage supply base to optimize BOM costs and mitigate supply chain risk.

Conduct should cost and make vs. buy analysis, as well as thorough risk assessment to drive appropriate sourcing decisions.

• Ensure Category Strategies are implemented on new NPD projects and serial production projects. Work with Category teams to identify new technologies and manage supply chain risk.
• Use POC and SWOT tool to select the optimal supplier and manage supply chain.

Assess and effectively communicate to PM/Engineering the technical risks, business requirements, deliverables and schedules supporting project initiatives.

Leverage new business opportunities/wins to reduce cost on current products/components in production and extend payment terms

• Supplier Negotiations along with Category leadership
• VAVE implementation
• Procurement Execution

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree (any course)
• 3-5 years of sourcing and supplier management experience
• International sourcing experience required and ability to develop and evaluate foreign sources
• Knowledgeable to use SAP/ERP, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word and Project management.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Familiarity with cost evaluation of different material, cables, connectors, injections, stamping.
• Familiarity with data analysis.
• Mechanical (cable, connectors) sourcing experience is preferred.
