Network Operations Center Engineer (NOC Engineer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Configure and maintain VLANs, trunks, STP, and port security
• Understand routing fundamentals (Static & OSPF basic)
• Administer firewalls (FortiGate) and configure security policies (Inbound/Outbound rules)
• Manage NAT, VIP, and port forwarding
• Support VPN setups (Site-to-Site / Remote Access)
• Monitor logs, analyze traffic, and maintain network uptime
• Utilize network monitoring tools (SNMP, alerts, uptime monitoring)
• Handle incidents, perform escalation (L1–L2), and maintain proper documentation
• Perform ticketing, shift handover reporting, and ISP coordination
• Maintain understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP fundamentals
• Support basic cybersecurity awareness and incident response activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NOC or network support
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking and FortiGate firewalls
• Experience in VLANs, routing, firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and network monitoring
• Basic cybersecurity awareness and incident handling skills
• Willingness to work shifts and on-call support
• Certifications are a plus: CCNA, NSE4, ITIL Foundation
