Job Description

The Network Engineer provides support in overseeing and assisting with the configuration and maintenance of simple to large-scale network and security infrastructure. Responsibilities include assisting in the maintenance of existing infrastructure in a continuous service improvement approach. Provides remediation support to customers through the design, implementation, and integration of network infrastructure, assisting Project Managers with customer projects. Serves as the first-level escalation from the help desk/Network and Security team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Related Work Experience At least 8+ years of working experience in security and network position.
    • CISCO Certified
    • Extensive experience implementing and supporting IP protocols.
    • Vendor management, resource management, project management, and service level agreements.
    • Performance tuning, capacity management, consolidation, COS, load balancing technology, monitoring.
  • Knowledge Knowledgeable in the following:
    • ISO communications stack.
    • Problem & performance diagnosis and resolution, support of cross-system technical interfaces.
    • Design and build-out of large data networks in the ongoing, critical delivery business.
    • Project Management
  • Skills:
    • Must have the ability to manage stress well under difficult situations and when dealing with production issues and project deadlines.
    • Must have problem-solving, conflict resolution, decision-making, and planning skills.
    • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on delivery, responsiveness, ownership, and accountability are also critical.
    • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
    • Must have the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a business audience.
    • Must have excellent oral communication and customer relations skills.
    • Must have the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization's hierarchy.

    • Must be adept to work in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.
