As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Network & Security Consultant based in the Philippines to join our engineering team. This role provides remote engineering, project delivery and operational support for customers throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

About the role

This is more than a support role.

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys designing solutions as much as troubleshooting them. Someone who can confidently work with customers, understand their business requirements and translate those into secure, reliable network solutions.

You'll be responsible for deploying, supporting and improving customer environments built on Fortinet, Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti technologies. You'll work across project delivery, operational support, network design and documentation while collaborating with Nueva's engineering and cybersecurity teams.

Success in this role isn't measured by the number of tickets you close. It's measured by the confidence our customers have in their networks and the quality of the solutions you deliver.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work across multiple customer environments, providing both project delivery and technical support. You'll design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructure while ensuring every solution is well documented, scalable and aligned with best practice. You'll also work closely with colleagues across managed services and cybersecurity to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.

• Design, deploy and support secure network solutions using Fortinet, Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti platforms.
• Deliver remote implementation, configuration and troubleshooting for customer environments across Australia and Asia-Pacific.
• Design routing, switching, wireless, firewall and SD-WAN solutions that are secure, scalable and easy to support.
• Diagnose and resolve complex Layer 2 through Layer 7 networking issues.
• Support customer migrations, infrastructure upgrades and technology refresh projects.
• Produce professional High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), logical and physical network diagrams, implementation plans and rollback documentation.
• Maintain accurate customer documentation, configuration standards and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with service delivery, project and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve network performance, resilience and security.
• Provide technical guidance and trusted advice to customers throughout the solution lifecycle.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with strong technical foundations, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for networking and security. You'll enjoy working across multiple customer environments and take pride in producing work that is accurate, well documented and delivered to a high standard.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of networking from Layer 2 through Layer 7.
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Experience with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti networking platforms.
• Experience configuring and supporting firewalls, VPNs, NAT, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge of network security, segmentation, secure remote access and security best practices.
• Experience designing resilient network architectures.
• Strong documentation skills including Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io or similar.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies is highly regarded.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure networking and Microsoft 365 connectivity is desirable.

Professional Skills

• Experience working within an MSP, MSSP or consulting environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple customer environments and competing priorities.
• A proactive approach with a focus on quality and customer outcomes.
• Fortinet (FCP/NSE), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Cisco Meraki ECMS or similar certifications are highly regarded.
