The Qualifications We Seek
- Active CCNA and CCNP certifications
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer (not IT support or helpdesk)
- Proven hands-on experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking devices
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-site or enterprise-scale network environments
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with network automation or scripting
Your Daily Tasks
Client Network Onboarding
- Optimize and manage network infrastructure to meet client needs.
- Assess business requirements and recommend networking solutions, considering security, scalability, and performance.
- Ensure seamless client and client-staff onboarding in regard to networking and internet connectivity.
Installation & Configuration
- Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
- Set up wireless networks, VPNs, and other remote access solutions.
- Perform network testing and troubleshoot issues during deployment.
Network Management, Maintenance, and Change Management
- Monitor network performance and resolve network-related issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance, including firmware updates and patch management following Change Management Policies and Procedure.
- Optimize network performance through tuning and upgrades following Change Management Policies and Procedures.
- Document network configurations and network performance metrics.
Security & Risk Management
- Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and manage risks related to network threats.
- Work with the security team to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, including hardware failures, slow performance, and connectivity problems.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders both core and client experiencing network difficulties.
- Analyze traffic patterns and identify potential issues.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support infrastructure needs.
- Communicate network plans, issues, and improvements to stakeholders.
- Work with third-party vendors for network hardware and software support.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of network configurations, changes, and updates.
- Prepare network performance reports and system status updates for management.
- Create training materials for internal staff regarding network usage and troubleshooting.
Other Responsibilities
- Recommend and lead process improvement initiatives and optimize underperforming workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform any administrative or non-administrative duties as assigned by any of the Company's representatives from time to time through direct written order or verbal assignment.
