Job Summary
CloudConsole is seeking a Network Cable Engineer responsible for installing, deploying, and maintaining structured cabling and network infrastructure across client environments. This role ensures reliable connectivity through proper cable installation, wireless access point deployment, infrastructure setup, and onsite technical support. The engineer will work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects in accordance with technical standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cables in accordance with industry standards
- Perform installation, mounting, and basic configuration support for network devices such as wireless access points, switches, patch panels, and network racks
- Conduct onsite site surveys to assess infrastructure requirements, cable routing, and installation planning
- Perform cable routing, cable tray installation, and cable management to ensure organized and compliant infrastructure setup
- Perform connectivity testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of cabling and infrastructure-related network issues
- Maintain accurate documentation including cable layouts, installation reports, and technical records
- Coordinate with project engineers, internal teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to support infrastructure deployment and project execution
- Ensure all installations comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and CloudConsole and client quality requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in structured cabling, network installation, or IT infrastructure deployment
- Proven experience in installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, or fiber optic)
- Experience supporting installation of network devices such as wireless access points, switches, patch panels, and network racks
- Ability to perform onsite technical work including site surveys, infrastructure installation, and field troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including LAN connectivity, wireless infrastructure, and network hardware
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and client stakeholders
- Relevant certifications such as vendor certifications (Cisco, Aruba, Ruijie, or similar) or OSH / safety certification are an advantage
