Network Automation Engineer

As a Network Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing large-scale network operations through automation, scripting, and monitoring. This role requires strong technical expertise in Python, network design, and automation tools, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, visibility, and reliability across campus and data center environments.

Your Role & Responsibility

• Support and provide expert advice on the goal to achieve efficiencies through automation tools and techniques.
• Develop tools to automate inventory management, templating, provisioning, configuration, auditing/reporting, and resolving discrepancies through automated means.
• Detailed documentation of new and existing solutions.
• Designing and using web services APIs (RESTful, SOAP).
• Take technical leadership initiative in proposing new solutions, enhancements, and optimization to increase network automation, visibility and monitoring functionality.
• Management, customization, and further development of Network Management and Alarming Systems (Experience with Observium is a plus).

Your Profile

• Master/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or any related course
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Network Automation Engineer (preferably in a carrier/ISP environment).
• Expert level at GIT and at developing complex, structured, and properly documented code in Python.
• Fluency in troubleshooting and reverse engineering existing Python code.
• Strong experience with network design, protocols, configuration, tools, monitoring, and troubleshooting on large IP and Ethernet networks, including campus and datacenter implementations.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP is a plus.
• Independent, solution-oriented, and reliable working style.
• Good English communication skills.
