The NetSuite Developer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable NetSuite solutions using a configuration-first and development approach. The role focuses on SuiteScript development, system integrations, workflow automation, and platform customization within enterprise environments.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x.
- Build user event scripts, client scripts, scheduled scripts, Map/Reduce scripts, Suitelets, and RESTlets.
- Configure and optimize NetSuite native capabilities including workflows, saved searches, reports, dashboards, custom records, forms, fields, roles, and permissions.
- Develop technical solutions using configuration-first principles before custom code where applicable.
- Design and maintain integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems using APIs, middleware, and iPaaS tools.
- Work with platforms such as Celigo, Boomi, REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML, CSV, and file-based integration patterns.
- Support data mapping, transformation logic, error handling, and integration monitoring.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
- Support sandbox and production deployments including change promotion and release validation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to scripts, workflows, integrations, and system performance.
- Provide production support and resolve post-deployment issues in a timely manner.
- Translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite technical solutions.
- Create technical design documents, solution specifications, and code documentation.
- Ensure system performance, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
- Recommend improvements aligned with NetSuite best practices.
- Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, architects, and administrators.
- Participate in requirement gathering and solution design discussions.
- Provide technical input during planning, estimation, and delivery phases.
- Support cross-functional teams in resolving system-related issues.
- Maintain coding standards, version control discipline, and reusable solution patterns.
- Ensure adherence to development lifecycle practices including testing, release management, and production support.
- Use AI-assisted development tools where applicable to improve efficiency and code quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on NetSuite development experience.
- NetSuite Developer Certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in SuiteScript (User Event, Client Scripts, Scheduled Scripts, Map/Reduce, Suitelets, RESTlets).
- Experience with full software development lifecycle (testing, deployment, release, production support).
- Experience configuring NetSuite modules and platform components.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of integration architecture, middleware, and API-based development.
- Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Proven ability to analyze performance issues and resolve integration failures.
- Demonstrates strong technical communication and documentation skills.
- Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
Work Location:
- WFH within Philippines only
Work Schedule:
- 10 PM - 7 AM, PH Time (Monday to Friday)
