Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a versatile Junior Graphic Designer & Video Editor who can seamlessly move between visual design and short-form video editing. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, moves quickly in a fast-paced creative environment, and can support both design-heavy and edit-heavy periods. You'll work closely with our social strategists, producers, and creators to produce educational resources, social carousels, motion graphics, and high-quality vertical video content for TikTok and other platforms.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, proficiency in modern editing tools, and a portfolio that showcases both graphic design and short-form video work.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Design visually engaging templates, carousels, and digital assets for creator education.
  • Create user-friendly, brand-aligned visuals across multiple content formats.
  • Develop and maintain design templates to streamline team workflows.
  • Ensure consistent visual styles across projects using brand guidelines.

Video Editing

  • Edit high-quality short-form video content, primarily for TikTok and social platforms (9:16).
  • Integrate internet culture, pop culture, music, memes, and trends into edits.
  • Craft platform-native storytelling with a strong understanding of what performs on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Execute end-to-end editing workflows: ingesting footage, assembling rough cuts, applying motion graphics/light animation, color correcting, revising, and final delivery.
  • Maintain well-organized project files, proxies, exports, and drive storage.

Cross-Discipline Execution

  • Create carousels, social templates, and visual assets that incorporate light motion or edited video snippets when needed.
  • Support fast turnaround needs during bottleneck periods by jumping into whichever discipline is busiest (design or editing).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (producers, strategists, creators) to bring content concepts to life.

Technical Skills

Design Tools

  • Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Figma (preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, visual hierarchy

Video Tools

  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • CapCut
  • DaVinci Resolve (nice to have)
  • Basic motion graphics skills (titles, lower thirds, light animation)
  • Strong understanding of TikTok editing styles and trends

Requirements

  • 12 years experience in graphic design, video editing, or social-first content creation (internships and freelance projects acceptable).
  • A portfolio that includes both designed assets (carousels, decks, static graphics) and video edits (TikTok/Reels).
  • Ability to work quickly, take feedback, and adapt to evolving creative needs.
  • Strong interest in internet culture, creators, social trends, music, memes, and storytelling.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
