What You'll Do:

• Development of SQL queries: Advanced knowledge on T-SQL.
• Performance tuning: Indexing strategies, execution plan analysis and query optimization.
• Database administration tasks: backup, restore, configuration, auditing and security configurations.
• Automation of routine tasks: job creation and management and script usage.
• Database migration: plan, engineer, schedule and execute database migration tasks.
• Technical documentation: create and upload to team site all the documentation and procedures for the tasks that are done.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience with SQL Server (+5 years).
• T-SQL proficiency for query creation and optimization.
• Database administration knowledge: TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), replication, backup strategies and migration plans.
• Database monitoring experience: SQL Profiler and Extended Events.
• Experience in scripting with Powershell or Python, making use of those scripts with SQL databases.
• Knowledge on AlwaysOn functioning.

Additional skills

• Experience managing and using Windows Server editions (2012 to 2025).
• Understanding of basic networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP or routing.
• Cluster configuration knowledge to manage clustered instances.

Soft skills

• Team collaboration.
• Autonomy and ownership in task management.
• Project delivery guidelines: communication with project management and scope management within projects.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong problem solving abilities to support the regular SQL operations.
• Management level reporting skills.
