Job Description: Mortgage Broker Assistant / Credit Assistant

Location: In Office Eastwood

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM AEST (Melbourne Time)

We are looking for a dedicated support person to become the right hand to our Lead Broker and ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The Role

You will manage the end-to-end loan processing journey, from handover to settlement. This includes packaging applications, lodging with lenders, and tracking progress. Specific experience in Australian mortgage lending or credit assessment is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Onboarding & Document Collection: Collect and verify documents (pay slips, bank statements, ID) for lender compliance.
  • Application Lodgement: Input data into CRM and aggregator software (e.g., Mercury/Podium/Flex) and lodge via ApplyOnline.
  • File Packaging: Prepare compliance documents and serviceability calculators.
  • Pipeline Management: Track loan applications, liaise with bank assessors and BDMs.
  • Client Communication: Provide updates and maintain professional phone/email manner.
  • Post-Settlement Care: Assist with settlement coordination and client care.

About You

  • Experience: 12 years in Australian mortgage industry (Loan Processor, Credit Analyst, Broker Assistant).
  • Lending Knowledge: Understanding of LVR, serviceability, and bank policies.
  • Communication: Excellent English, confident phone skills.
  • Tech Savvy: CRM systems, Microsoft Office, ApplyOnline experience preferred.
  • Organisational Skills: Systematic approach, compliance focus.
  • Attitude: Proactive problem-solver.
