Job Description

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6am to 3pm PHT)

Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mid-Level QA Tester to support the development team in ensuring the quality and reliability of our ASP.NET Core web applications and single-page applications. The role focuses on executing manual and automated tests, contributing to test automation efforts using Playwright, and collaborating closely with developers to identify and resolve defects. This position is ideal for someone with solid testing experience who is ready to grow toward a senior-level role.

What will you do

  • Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to understand application features, requirements, and expected behavior.
  • Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for ASP.NET Core web applications and SPAs.
  • Contribute to automated UI testing using Playwright or similar testing tools, following existing frameworks and best practices.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using agreed defect management tools.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and basic integration testing to ensure application stability.
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test execution reports.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
  • Support release activities by validating fixes and performing pre-release testing.
  • Continuously learn and apply new testing techniques, tools, and industry best practices.

What are we looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Experience testing web applications, preferably built on ASP.NET Core.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools (Playwright preferred; Selenium, Cypress, or similar is acceptable).
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and defect reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests fit into them.
  • Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
  • Interest in expanding automation coverage and improving testing processes.
