Mid-Level Test Engineer (Philippines)

The Opportunity.

The Mid-Level Test Engineer is responsible for executing complex test cases, validating system behaviors, managing defects, and ensuring detailed coverage across functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. This role requires deeper technical understanding and autonomy in handling assigned modules.

The Role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute test scenarios across functional, regression, integration, E2E, and API testing.
• Prepare test data, validate test environments, and ensure readiness for execution cycles.
• Analyze defects, perform retesting, and support RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Support UAT cycles, including extended test windows and real-time defect triaging.
• Document execution results and contribute to test summary reports.
• Identify gaps in test scripts and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to resolve defects efficiently.

The Expertise.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• ISTQB Foundation preferred.

Experience & Background:

• 35 years of hands-on testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
• Prior experience executing end-to-end test cycles in enterprise systems.
• Exposure to automation is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
• Basic API testing experience
• Proficiency in test management tools (ALM, JIRA, QC)
• Test data creation & environment validation

Additional Qualities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage individual workloads independently
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination
