Job Description

As a Mid Level Full Stack Developer (Backend-Focused), you will develop, maintain, and improve scalable applications and platforms using Ruby on Rails, Ember.js, and modern cloud technologies. You will contribute to technical planning, platform performance, and secure coding practices while working on production systems used in real business operations.

This role is ideal for developers who want to strengthen their backend development skills, work on scalable systems, and learn from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

Salary: Up to PHP 190,000 + 100k sign on bonus / Salary range based on experience

The Qualifications We Seek

• 3 to 5 years and above commercial experience with microservices, REST APIs, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud hosting
• Proficiency with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, Ember.js, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, Datadog, and Mulesoft
• Strong communicator, proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a commitment to quality delivery
• Willing to mentor others and share knowledge

Performance Indicators

• Quality - measured by the number of PR cycles and bugs leaked to QA and Production
• Planning - measured by committed : actual ratio
• Team player - a cultural fit with the team, knowledge sessions conducted, volunteering to help other team members

Your Daily Tasks
Main duties for this role:

• Deliver quality, maintainable, secure, and performant software implementations
• Interpret and clarify requirements to achieve desired outcomes
• Provide input on implementation options and contribute to technical planning
• Estimate and plan development effort, communicating any variances
• Share knowledge and lessons learned across the squad and wider technology team

Daily tasks:

• Develop production-ready, maintainable code
• Conduct appropriate testing (unit, integration, and functional)
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance using Datadog
• Ensure secure coding practices and adherence to design patterns
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog review, and estimation
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues proactively
• Mentor and support other engineers within the team
