The Role
We're looking for a Mid-Level Back End Developer to help build and maintain integrations between Ankor's superyacht calendar and our customers systems including ERP platforms, CRM systems, and third-party calendar tools.
You'll work closely with senior engineers and product stakeholders to implement reliable, secure data flows between systems. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for someone who already has real-world backend and integration experience and is ready to deepen it.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services that integrate Ankor's calendar with customer ERP, CRM, and calendar systems
- Implement RESTful APIs, webhooks, and scheduled or event-driven integrations
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and synchronization across systems
- Handle common integration challenges such as authentication, rate limits, retries, and error recovery
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable backend code
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues in production environments
- Collaborate with product, front-end, and customer-facing teams to clarify requirements
- Contribute to technical documentation for integrations and backend services
Required Skills & Experience
- 25 years of experience as a Back End Developer
- Hands-on experience building integrations with external systems (ERP, CRM, SaaS platforms, or calendars)
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and backend integration patterns
- Experience working with authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, or token-based auth
- Good database skills (SQL and/or NoSQL) and basic data modeling experience
- Comfortable debugging issues that span multiple systems and services
- Able to work independently on well-defined tasks while collaborating with a broader team
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating with CRM or ERP platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, custom systems)
- Familiarity with asynchronous processing or message queues
- Experience working in a SaaS or B2B software environment
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Interest in maritime, logistics, or scheduling-based systems
