Microbiologist, you'll be at the forefront of understanding microorganisms that impact health, industry, and the environment. This role offers a dynamic blend of laboratory research, data analysis, real-world application and highest standards of quality.
Basic Function: Performs water, food, microbial limit testing of pharmaceutical, cosmetics & veterinary samples and environmental monitoring using microbiological methods.
Responsibilities
- Prepares culture media and reagents used in the analysis.
- Performs collection of water and environmental samples (swab and microbial air quality) on client's establishments/premises.
- Participates in quality programs such as proficiency, inter-, intra-lab testing, blind and parallel testing.
- Performs sterility and bioburden testing in injectable, oral solution, and other pharmaceutical products.
- Retains all records of data related to the performed test and test results, in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices, including the use of reagents and equipment.
- Follows the established quality assurance and quality control programs of the Laboratory
- Complies with the established Quality Management System, PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and other government regulations and recognitions.
- Submits, in a timely manner, fully accomplished job order report to Microbiology Technical Section Head for review and approval.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Technical Section Head, Operations Manager, and General Manager
Qualifications
Education: BS Microbiology, BS Biology, BS Food Technology
Licensure: Registered Microbiologist
Years of Experience: 1-3 years
Preferred Industry: Testing laboratory
Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Leadership Skills: Leadership experience is preferable.
