Responsible for his/her designated area to ensure that all merchandising activities are efficiently executed.
Merchandise Management
- Compare sales data of products and make recommendations for low selling products.
- Assist CMM / MM in setting the retail prices.
- Process damaged/defective return to vendors, and store transfers.
- Track project/ trade promotions and maintain promotional calendars.
Inventory and Ordering
- Keep track of inventory and submit order requests.
- Assist CMM / MM in negotiating and coordinating with vendors.
- Timely purchase of products based on season and trends
- Ensure purchases are processed with promptness and accuracy.
- Maintain an effective and accurate stock management and forecast in the assigned category.
- Ensure proper compliance on process flow, deadlines and approval of purchase order prior to encoding.
Trend Research
- Identify trends and make sales forecast based on product popularity, past sales, industry trades, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors and develop new strategies, with CMM / MM.
People Management
- Evaluate and motivate subordinates.
- Ensure that subordinates comply with company policies.
Qualification
- Graduate of Marketing, Commerce, Sales, or any 4 year course.
- Must have at least 3-4 relevant experience as Buyer/Merchandising Supervisor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications & Merchandising Systems
- Ability to work with data, analyze promotions, marketing strategies and work range reviews
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
