Job Summary
The Merchandising Supervisor/Merchandising Operations Coordinator Fresh Chicken is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the work processes of agency merchandisers assigned in supermarkets. This role ensures efficient merchandising operations, proper product handling, consistent display standards, and compliance with company quality protocols for fresh chicken products.
The position serves as the link between the company, the labor agency, and the supermarket branches, ensuring manpower adequacy, productivity, and alignment with merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design and Implementation
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for agency merchandisers in handling, displaying, and monitoring fresh chicken products in supermarkets.
Establish daily routines, work assignments, and reporting processes for merchandisers.
Create performance and productivity metrics (e.g., display compliance, spoilage control, sales contribution).
Conduct process evaluations and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Agency and Manpower Coordination
Coordinate manpower deployment with labor agencies to ensure adequate coverage across all supermarket locations.
Validate attendance, shift scheduling, and performance of agency merchandisers.
Assist in screening and orientation of new agency merchandisers to ensure alignment with company standards.
Monitor compliance with agency agreements and labor laws.
Merchandising and Product Management
Supervise and ensure proper display, rotation, and handling of fresh chicken products.
Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain guidelines.
Implement planograms and merchandising standards set by the company or supermarket.
Coordinate with sales, logistics, and quality teams to ensure product freshness and availability.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare daily and weekly reports on merchandiser activities, sales movement, and display compliance.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for agency manpower and merchandising results.
Analyze issues such as product returns, spoilage, and manpower efficiency; propose solutions.
Coordination and Communication
Serve as the main liaison among operations, HR, labor agencies, and supermarket store management.
Conduct regular store visits and performance audits.
Communicate updates, process changes, and expectations to agency coordinators and in-store merchandisers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, HR, or related field.
35 years of experience in merchandising operations, preferably in fresh food (meat, poultry, seafood) or FMCG.
Strong understanding of supermarket operations and cold chain handling.
Experience managing agency manpower or third-party merchandisers is highly preferred.
Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficient in Excel and familiar with reporting tools or store audit templates.
Willing to conduct regular field/store visits.
