Job Description: Merchandising Manager (Supply and Demand Planning Manager)
Industry Expertise
- Lead and manage supply chain planning processes in a retail or FMCG environment.
- Apply extensive experience in demand forecasting and inventory control for a wide assortment of SKUs.
- Support high-frequency product launches and seasonal campaigns with agile planning.
Core Competencies
Demand Planning
- Forecast sales at the SKU and store level using historical data, seasonality trends, and promotional calendars.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and Sales teams to align forecasts with campaign launches, new product introductions, and limited-edition collections.
Supply Planning & Replenishment
- Maintain healthy stock levels across distribution centers and retail locations by managing supply flow and lead times.
- Minimize out-of-stocks and overstock situations through proactive planning and real-time tracking.
- Coordinate inbound logistics from global manufacturing hubs (e.g., Italy/Europe to Asia), and replenishment aligned with visual merchandising and planograms.
Analytics & Systems
- Leverage forecasting and inventory management tools to optimize supply chain decisions.
- Utilize Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling) for scenario planning and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in supply and demand planning, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset in resolving planning or fulfillment issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
