The Role and Candidate:
As the Merchandising Supervisor/Manager for the Philippines market, you will be at the heart of shaping the product experience in all current and future POP MART stores. Partnering closely with the APAC Head of SCM, you will have the opportunity to influence how our products reach customers, ensure every store reflects our brand's vision, and drive operational excellence. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning strategy into action, loves optimizing processes, and wants to play a pivotal role in the growth of POP MART in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the merchandising team for the Philippines market, overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process for both direct sales and distribution business.
- Supervise the accuracy and timeliness of product information entry and inventory data management upon goods arrival.
- Analyze market product performance and consumer trends in the Philippines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven demand forecasts and merchandise strategies.
- Take overall responsibility for demand forecasting accuracy, continuously tracking performance, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee replenishment from the local warehouse to retail stores, ensuring optimal inventory levels and preventing out-of-stock situations while supporting sales targets.
- Review and manage unsalable or slow-moving inventory, formulating strategic action plans to optimize stock turnover and reduce waste.
- Partner closely with store operations, design, marketing, business, and IP departments at headquarters to coordinate resources and support key campaigns or product initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to build strong merchandising capability, ensuring alignment with company goals and promoting professional growth.
- Collaborate with the headquarters merchandising and planning teams to execute regional projects and initiatives effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of retail merchandising experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role with direct team leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience in merchandise planning, product strategy development, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with ERP or merchandising systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills with a results-driven and accountable mindset.
- Fluent in English (working language); proficiency in Chinese or passion for Chinese culture will be considered an advantage.
