A Merchandising Manager drives retail profitability by developing, implementing, and monitoring product assortment, pricing, and visual display strategies. They analyze sales data, manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts/overstock, and collaborate with marketing to maximize product visibility and customer engagement, both in-store and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandising Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with company goals.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior.
- Forecast sales and inventory needs.
- Decide product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
- Monitor inventory performance and adjust when needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate new vendors and products.
- Store Execution
- Ensure products are displayed attractively in stores.
- Monitor store inventory.
- Work with store staff to properly execute merchandising plans.
- Sales Performance
- Work with sales teams to achieve revenue goals.
- Analyze sales data to find areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 510 years experience in merchandising or similar field.
- Experience with SM Consignment and department stores.
- Experience with luxury watch or high-end retail brands (preferred).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good visual merchandising and design sense.
- Knowledge of market trends.
- Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must live in Manila or willing to work in Binondo.
- Can start immediately.
