Your Role
As a
Merchandise Coordinator, you will:
- Maintain accurate records of all supplier income agreements, trading terms, and promotional contracts.
- Monitor and track supplier payments to ensure they are received on time and reconcile any billing discrepancies.
- Coordinate the timely loading of monthly promotional case deals and ensure accurate invoicing of marketing coop programs.
- Act as the primary financial liaison between internal teams and external suppliers to resolve outstanding invoices and payment issues.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and ROI analysis to identify trends and optimize supplier income strategies.
- Audit master files for supplier trading terms to ensure total compliance with rebate and claim processes.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in finance, supplier income management, or cooperative marketing within the retail or fuel industry.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to reconcile complex invoices and manage promotional rate cards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools for data interpretation and reporting.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage collections and maintain high supplier satisfaction.
- Proven ability to manage strict deadlines, particularly for end-of-month (EOM) financial reporting and audit preparation.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Qualifications in Business, Finance, or Administration are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying cost-saving measures and mitigating financial risks within coop programs.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and legal compliance requirements for supplier contracts.
- Experience collaborating with category and marketing teams to align promotional activities with corporate budgets.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior management.
