Role Overview
The Medical Information Specialist position sits within the ProPharma Medical Information Contact Center, supporting pharmaceutical clients by handling medical information and safety related enquiries in line with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal/client working practices.
This is a medically focused role for qualified nurses who are comfortable managing external enquiries, documenting safety events, and delivering clear, accurate, and compliant responses.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to medical and safety information enquiries received from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers by phone, email, and other approved channels
• Provide accurate medical information responses using approved labeling, standard response documents, published literature, and other approved sources
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints in a clear and compliant manner
• Log all enquiries accurately and in a timely manner within the relevant inquiry handling systems
• Support quality and compliance by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned to SOPs and client working practices
• Assist with drafting or tailoring medical information responses where needed
• Work closely with the wider team to meet turnaround times and service standards
Candidate Profile
• Nursing qualification required
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfortable handling medically focused conversations with external stakeholders
• Good understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, and regulated working environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within defined timelines
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning client systems and databases
• Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider team
