The Medical Coder Trainee will be responsible for learning and applying coding standards for medical diagnoses and procedures.
- Assist in coding medical records
- Learn to use coding software
- Participate in training sessions
For Non-IP Coders
- At least 1 year of Profee, ED, OBS, or SDS coding experience
For IP Coders
- At least 6 months of IP coding experience
Requirements
- Must have an active certification: CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC-A
- Licensed PHRN or graduate of any Medical Allied Course
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills
- Eager to learn and grow through the CSU
