Position Overview

As a Medical Biller at MedVA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing processes for our clients in the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end billing—from insurance verification and charge entry to claim submission, payment posting, and denial resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in end-to-end RCM for US clients.
• Strong command of medical coding, claims submission, and payer rules.
• Experience using platforms such as eCW, Athena, Epic, Waystar, or similar
• High attention to detail and strong understanding of the full billing lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with key RCM metrics (e.g., Days in AR, Denial Rate, Collections Ratio).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Biller or Coder (CPC, CPB, or equivalent) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct insurance verification and obtain authorizations pre-visit.
• Enter accurate patient and charge data into the EHR or billing system.
• Submit claims electronically; monitor for rejections or denials.
• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and address payment discrepancies.
• Follow up on denied or delayed claims, filing appeals as necessary.
• Coordinate with providers, payers, and patients to ensure clean billing.
• Generate and analyze AR reports, reducing aging balances and improving KPIs.
