Job Description

OBJECTIVE:

The role of the Media Analyst is to analyze online data and produce multiple reports, newsletters, syntheses for our clients. This includes leading media Intelligence missions to deliver professional services (understanding business clients objectives, working cross-locations and cross-departments to support our clients needs). This position provides support to the Media Analysis department and will analyze various media content types using metrics, platforms and internal powerful methods. In addition, this position works with suppliers (outsourcing companies and freelancers). The Media Analyst will demonstrate strong subject matter expertise in Media Intelligence, strong communication and presentation skills, understand the project's objectives and deliver within the defined specifications and deadlines throughout the project cycle.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

NIS solutions deliverables (Newsletter, Report) Edition (60%):

  • Utilizes gNS Media Intelligence methods to provide all stakeholders and clients with analysis, insight and direction.
  • Understands data and media in various forms and channels - community, web data and press.
  • Reads, Selects and Analyzes media and data from a wide variety of media types, including tasks such as content curation and coding.
  • Produces Media Intelligence reports, newsletters and other deliverables for ongoing projects according to project specifications with clear written analysis.
  • Takes part in project set-up on various media monitoring platforms.
  • Performs ad/hoc reports as needed.
  • Understands clients challenges and objectives
  • Presents complex solutions at the appropriate levels depending upon the audience in question.
  • Support operations management in identifying and evaluating core operations projects and/or process improvements.

NIS contributors/providers coordination (20%):

  • Participates in requirement reviews, incorporating feedback, joint analysis of requirements with internal and external teams.
  • Puts together document requirements in form of briefs, use cases, flowcharts
  • Performs ongoing quality control and feedback of work submitted by other analysts (in-house/external contributors)

Sales support and customer feedback management (20%):

  • Acts in support of pre-sales activities (teaser report edition, meetings) when potential customers have been identified by sales representatives, upon approval of Media analyst team lead.
  • Takes part in meetings with customers and during the briefing stage (contextual parts, customer issues) when required.
  • Support Project Manager to manage local customer feedback on solutions delivered

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in media communications, marketing, statistics, business or related field is preferred
  • Experience in media intelligence management forBtoB, BtoC clients
  • English (written and spoken), ideally native
  • Ability to communicate across all levels and cultures
  • Excellent attention to detail and results oriented with a track record demonstrating strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to facilitate continuous improvement and change management efforts
  • Ability to communicate, interact and influence effectively at all levels
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel (cross tables, graphs) and PowerPoint
