About the job Mechanical Fitter (ATP)
Reporting to the Production Supervisor (Mechanical), the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for working within a team to carry out the installation and alignment of main and secondary equipment into vessels, including drivelines, to achieve minimum production time and maximum quality, while maintaining a positive and motivated team environment.
Essential
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years experience in shipbuilding Industry.
- At least high school or technical training/vocational school graduate.
Desirable
- Shaft alignment knowledge
- Machine shop knowledge
- Leadership experience
- Computer literacy if any
- Strong communication skills
- Preferably has experience in operating laser alignment equipment.
