Your Role:

A Mechanical Engineer ensures that all mechanical systems work safely and efficiently to meet user needs. Their duties include:

• Manage/assist in development of project timelines and updates.
• Solidworks - highly competent.
  • Weldments, Sheetmetal, Customer Properties, Custom configurations, Using Formulas in sketch dimensions, Pattern driven components, etc.
  • Shop drawings with proper tolerances, and Laser DXFs, flat patterns and bent designs
• Familiar with conveyors and basic functionality.
• Familiar with using McMaster Carr, Carr Lane and other common websites for fasteners, and machine design components.
• Development of full bills of materials, cut lists for weldments
• Ability to see the workload being requested and create tracking timelines.
• Collaborate with electrical engineer to aid development of the controls design or key sensors that need to be included.
• Ability to work with a builder to fix issues found in building the product and track any updates associated.
• Release of materials from engineering to manufacturing with BOMs and all associated documents such as PDFs, Edrawings and DXFs for contract use.
• Some circuit knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

What You Need:

• Associates or Bacheloru0027s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and other mechanical engineering concepts
• Excellent math skills, including advanced geometry, trig and physics
• Familiarity with Solidworks & AutoCAD
• Creative thinking and innovation
• Good planning skills
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Commercial awareness, including an understanding of target user and market
• Ability to work under pressure
• Travel is required occasionally.
