We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, quality, and cost requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple engineering tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
- Review project requirements and translate them into effective mechanical solutions
- Perform system sizing, load calculations, and performance analysis
Analysis & Problem Solving
- Conduct engineering analyses to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with standards
- Identify design issues and recommend improvements or corrective actions
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for mechanical issues
Project & Team Collaboration
- Work with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with manufacturing, construction, or installation teams as required
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Support permitting, submittals, and technical reviews as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Proficiency with engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure
- Experience in HVAC, MEP, manufacturing, construction, or product design
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, etc.)
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects

Up to $8/hr
