We are looking for an
Experienced Mechanical Designer responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design and development of products and components, from initial concept and detailed engineering through production release. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications, manufacturability, cost targets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Product and Component Design
- Create drawings using CAD (2D/3D).
- Determine product shape, dimensions, materials, and structure.
- Evaluate optimal shape and strength based on requirements.
Specification Review and Technical Proposals
- Organize requirements from sales and development teams.
- Consider cost, durability, performance, manufacturability, and other factors comprehensively.
- Propose optimal design concepts.
Strength Analysis and Performance Evaluation
- Evaluate strength, thermal properties, vibration, etc., using CAE (analysis software).
- Verify designs meet safety standards and performance requirements.
Prototyping and Evaluation
- Participate in prototype development to identify issues.
- Implement design improvements based on test results.
Collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality Departments
- Verify design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Discuss modifications for mass production and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop countermeasures for defects.
Drawing Management and Technical Documentation
- Create part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or equivalent.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CAE tools for structural and performance analysis is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with logical and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills, especially for coordination with manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
