Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing at Engkanto Brewery, located in Carmona Cavite. The role involves overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes, designing and maintaining machinery, managing projects from inception to completion, and contributing to research and development initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety standards is a key aspect of the role. The individual will also supervise and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Operations
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing and maintenance departments.
- Assist in overseeing the manufacturing and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operation.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing and maintenance departments through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Helps in planning, monitoring, and analyzing key metrics to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and work instructions, addressing sanitation failures or potential food contamination promptly.
II. Business Growth and Development
- Actively participate in management committee discussions to contribute strategic and practical goals for both short-term and long-term growth.
- Helps in developing and implementing organizational policies, standards, and business procedures aligned with company objectives, including ISO and HACCP standards.
III. Accreditation and Compliance
- Ensure the company operates in full compliance with established regulations, including General Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) standards.
IV. Performance Management
- Collaborate with executive-level management to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans.
- Work closely with human resources to promote accountability, teamwork, and a structured working environment.
- Participate in quarterly production planning to establish the general operations schedule.
- Serve as a role model, communicating the purpose and importance of the company's mission and values to staff.
- Develop, manage, and coach department managers, providing feedback to improve performance.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions, and cascade key information and knowledge to relevant teams.
Qualifications:
- MUST BE A Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
- Filipino local talent is preferred.
- Proven experience in plant operations and production management.
- Strong knowledge of brewery equipment, processes, and quality control standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Track record of implementing operational efficiencies.
