This is a remote position for a detail-oriented MEP Engineer to support U.S.-based construction and design-build projects. The role involves the design, coordination, and documentation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for commercial and/or residential developments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and experience with Florida building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop MEP systems for commercial and residential projects
- Perform HVAC load calculations (Manual J, D, S preferred)
- Prepare electrical load calculations, panel schedules, and single-line diagrams
- Design plumbing layouts and perform sizing calculations
- Create and revise detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs
- Prepare energy reports and compliance documentation as required
- Ensure designs comply with applicable FL Building codes
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- 37+ years of experience in MEP design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Must have prior experience in Revit, and Procore
- Experience with load calculation software
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar PDF markup tools
- Strong understanding of U.S. building codes and standards, especially Florida building codes
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience supporting U.S.-based projects remotely
- Experience working with Design-Build firms
