About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and support the electrical engineering scope of large-scale Wind Power Projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and hands-on experience in the design, execution, and commissioning of wind farm electrical systems.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and high-performance electrical infrastructure across substations, transmission systems, and wind turbine integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical engineering design, review, and implementation for wind energy projects.
  • Oversee the design and construction of substations (MV/HV/LV), overhead and underground transmission lines.
  • Manage and review electrical systems including:
  • SCADA systems and communication networks
  • Protection and control systems
  • Electromechanical assembly and installation
  • Ensure compliance with national electrical codes, grid interconnection requirements, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and project management teams.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Provide technical leadership during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Support grid compliance studies and coordinate with utility providers and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to Wind Power Projects.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Substation design and construction (MV/HV/LV)
  • Transmission and distribution systems
  • SCADA and communication systems
  • Electrical protection systems
  • Electromechanical assembly and commissioning
  • Solid knowledge of national electrical codes, grid standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
