An independent, specialist provider of design and advisory services for building electrification projects through the use of renewable thermal energy and heat pumps.
Job Description
We are looking for a mechanical drafter / modeller that can support the engineering team and assist them to maintain their leading industry position. You will do this through the delivery of quality engineering drawings that range from the informational through to construction drawings for what will regularly be iconic buildings or luxury residences. In addition to mechanical drafting, there will be thermal and energy modelling of buildings.
You will get to play with systems ranging from conventional HVAC to geothermal hot springs, from single homes
to district thermal energy systems, from the tropics to alpine areas.
To deliver on the above you will have appropriate technical certification and at least two years drafting experience with Autodesk Revit and / or similar experience with thermal / energy modelling software such as Wrightsoft, equest, IES, Better Buildings or similar.
Daily Activities- The three main tasks include the following:
- Generating mechanical system drawings in Revit as directed for tender, for construction, shop drawings and as builts. This will include building side as well as the geothermal side;
- Conducting thermal and energy modelling for residential and commercial projects; and
- Provide project summary reviews for residential projects.
- Receives and performs daily job instructions from his/her supervisor on priority tasks and carries on the instruction. Follows the procedures and work instructions in the performance of the assigned task.
- Informs his/her supervisor immediately of any problems that may be encountered in the performance of the assigned task. Prepares project studies and project status reports.
- Maintains good housekeeping in the work area, including online filing systems.
- Initiates daily improvements on the task assigned. Analyzes and recommends solutions to solve problems.
- Prepares and submits monthly accomplishment reports.
- Perform other assignments that may be given from time to time.
Nice to have skills
- A willingness to ask questions about how we can do things better for our Clients.
- Basic mechanical design capabilities such as pump, pipe or duct sizing.
- Ability to think practicality about an installation. It may look good on the screen but will it work.
- Deliver designs and schematics that could be suitable for marketing activities.
Work Schedule (Dayshift)
- Monday to Friday (6AM-3PM; Manila Time)
Work Setup (WFH)
- Permanent Homebased
- Equipment will be provided by the company
- Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
