Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Responsible for the Design of Mechanical services, design of building services and associated systems of work.
Manages and maintains the record of all incoming and outgoing drawings from the office in accordance with WSP QA
procedures.
Ability to prepare technical reports on small to medium projects and review small project reports.
Ability to project lead small to medium projects within the discipline. Gaining experience in monitoring and managing the
scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
Apply legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.
Ensures that the project designs/studies from the clients are completed in accordance with acceptable prescribed standards
for each requesting party's place/country of origin and its intent/content.
Liaises with WSP personnel and WSP's partners, both local and foreign affiliates and clients.
Liaises and coordinates with other disciplines of the design team.
Manages and controls outputs in accordance with the design work program.
Attends meetings when required, both local and overseas.
At all times exhibit behaviour, consistent with that of a professional member of WSP.
Assist in multidisciplinary project activities.
Comply with all role specific to SHEQ obligations.
Develop experience in managing a small team.
Prepare technical reports on small to medium projects. Auditing of other, more junior staff.
Apply safety in design processes on projects.
Use of HVAC software and 3D modelling to develop mechanical system designs.
Carry out any assignments that will be given from time to time by the management.
Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):
Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus.
Experience, Skills And Organizational Knowledge
Atleast 6-8 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Knowledge in Carrier E20 software (Carrier Hourly Analysis Program) or other HVAC load estimating software.
Design HVAC System (HVAC design engineers create heating and cooling system and their controls).
Calculate Heating and Cooling Needs
Make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power various equipment must put out in order to heat
or cool spaces when needed.
Interpret and Draft Plans
Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects. Can also
draft new plans to design ductwork and piping systems.
Calculate ventilation requirements
Calculate ventilation requirements based on the types of systems needed.
Coordinate with other disciplines
Coordinate and collaborate with Architects and Engineer based on design heating and cooling system.
Adhere to Foreign Buildind Codes and local regulations.
Aware of organization approach to risk management, ethics and safety.
Experienced in an understanding of WSP's organization capability and how to access it.
Experienced capacity to deliver best client outcomes/options which have saved the client/cost time.
Experienced skills to identify risk in small to medium profile projects.
Experienced in managing client relations and expectations.
Experienced In Supervising Other On Task.
Working towards Professional Senior status.
Revit and AutoCAD capable is a plus.
Knowledge in OneClick is a plus.
Knowledge in Design Builder is a plus.
Knowledge in BlueBeam Revu is a plus.
