Job Overview
As a Marketing Operations Technologist, you will support tracking and analytics workflows by navigating backend systems (websites, CRMs, ad tech platforms) to implement and verify campaign instrumentation. This role does not require coding expertise but does require confidence in technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and verify tracking (e.g., pixels, tags, GA4, GTM).
- Navigate backend dashboards of websites (e.g., Shopify) and CRM systems.
- Validate instrumentation accuracy and escalate inconsistencies as needed.
- Support SOP compliance to ensure tracking is reliable across platforms.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field.
Experience:
- 23 years in digital advertising, analytics, or technical marketing ops
- Comfort navigating site backends, CRMs, and developer dashboards.
- Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and campaign tracking tools.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and problem-solve without needing developer-level coding.
Skills:
Technical Skills/Programming/Tool Knowledge
- Marketing Automation Tools HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, ActiveCampaign, etc.
- CRM Systems Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, Zoho, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Data & Analytics Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Campaign Management email workflows, lead nurturing, and campaign orchestration.
- Data Management segmentation, list hygiene, and database optimization.
- Analytical and Diagnostic Skills
- Data Analysis ability to interpret marketing KPIs (conversion rates, CPL, CAC, ROI, attribution).
- Reporting & Dashboards building clear performance reports for stakeholders.
- Process Optimization streamlining workflows, automations, and cross-team coordination.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation validating campaign performance improvements.
- Soft Skills
- Attention to Detail catching errors in data, campaigns, or automation flows.
