Job Description

Marketing Manager Web Experience (UX, UI & Performance)

Offshore-Remote | Contractor | Australian time zone | Immediate start | Au$45,000/yr

Shape the portfolio of websites across the ECA Group, to ensure each one is optimally designed to achieve its unique purpose, from student recruitment to EdTech.

The Education Centre of Australia (ECA) is a leading international education group, welcoming over 11,000 students annually from more than 50 nationalities across Australia and the UK. With a portfolio of 20 business units spanning higher education, vocational training, English language, internships, and student services, ECA is committed to student success and global opportunity

In today's digital-first environment, our websites should be our most powerful marketing channels. Yet with each ECA business unit operating its own site, user experience, design, and search visibility are inconsistent and under-leveraged. As a result, student journeys can feel disjointed, and prospective leads are often lost.

ECA Group is seeking a Marketing Manager Web Experience to lead the strategy, design, and performance of our multi-site digital ecosystem. You'll own the look, feel, and functionality of 20+ education websites, working closely with marketing and design teams to deliver seamless, high-performing user experiences that convert visitors into students.

This role combines UX/UI design, web management, and performance optimisation, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of creative design and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end experience of multiple education websites across international markets.
  • Develop UX/UI wireframes and prototypes to improve navigation, usability, and conversion.
  • Oversee site design systems, templates, and content structure for brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to execute website updates and redesigns.
  • Use analytics and user testing to optimise page performance and student journeys.
  • Lead the SEO strategy as part of a broader performance improvement plan.
  • Manage domain, hosting, and CMS integrations, ensuring smooth technical operations.

As the successful candidate, you will ideally have:

  • Excellent written English and an eye for design and detail
  • A positive, engaging personality
  • 5+ years experience in UX/UI design, or website optimisation roles.
  • Proven experience managing and improving multi-site website portfolios.
  • Skilled in UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of web usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Comfortable working with designers, developers, and marketing teams.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress or Webflow preferred).
  • Solid grasp of SEO fundamentals, analytics, and performance tracking.
  • Exposure to the education sector or other service industries (preferred but not essential).
