Job Description

  • Marketing Strategy and Marketing Communications
  • Considering the needs of each program and track, and of each Satellite Campus,and following the principles set by the Dean and Marketing Advisory Council, develops and recommends a marketing strategy and plan to promote the MBA program and tracks and Master in Entrepreneurship programs and tracks
  • Presents a marketing calendar for each School Year, developing this around marketing themes and showing how these are executed through campaigns and activations
  • Spearheads conceptualization and design of marketing collaterals, including working with the AGSB Satellite Campus Directors and Program Directors in organizing activation/below-the-line marketing events to create awareness on AGSB and increase student enrollment per location
  • Works with the Communications Officer and Marketing Advisory Council to recommend content of press releases, print ads and AGSB communications
  • Manages AGSB's social media accounts (e.g. Twitter, FB, etc.)
  • Liaises internally with DISCO HE and UMCO, and externally with media service providers and platforms to render AGSB collaterals and publish AGBSB brand campaigns
  • Conceptualizes, plans, and implements relevant marketing events, both on-campus and offsite
  • Conducts market intelligence on competitors (e.g. strengths and weaknesses, pricing strategy, competitive advantage, etc.) and identifies new business opportunities, specifically institutional partnerships for in-house MBA.
  • Coordinates with the UCPRO
  • Brand Management
  • Ensures that AGSB's brand purpose and brand value proposition are aptly and consistently articulated across all forms of communications (on-campus displays, print, AGSB website, and electronic media)
  • Identifies AGSB alumni and students who could be brand ambassadors, and developing campaigns and collaterals that feature them
  • Ensures that all parties that use the AGSB logo follow AGSB logo policies as set by UMCO
  • Analyzes the results of AGSB brand surveys and communicates developments to the Dean and Marketing Advisory Council
  • Public Relations
  • Identifies funding sources and prepares sponsorship contracts for marketing events and business development opportunities.
  • Leverages on participation to industry forums, conferences and student discussions to expand market reach and client database for both business and entrepreneurship programs
  • Databases
  • Maintains and shares databases for each part of the Marketing and Sales Funnel that the role is responsible for
  • Collaborates with other functions Office of the Registrar, Admissions in maintaining the seamless link between all databases
  • Budget and Finance
  • Prepares the annual marketing budget and monitors actual performance versus projections
  • Develops budget forecasts that meet the short and long-term goals for AGSB's marketing activities
  • Provides justification to procurement requirements and ensures prompt liquidation of cash advances for marketing events
  • People Management
  • Consults/coordinates with Assistant to the Dean and/or Associate Dean for Admin and Student Services on regulations and policies pertaining to recruitment of new hires, development, performance coaching, and retention of Marketing staff
  • Counsels staff on performance of role and immediately corrects deviations from target
  • Develops learning & development plans and interventions for staff
  • Determines the appropriate work schedule and monitors staff attendance
  • Others
  • Performs all other related tasks as deemed necessary by the Dean.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strategic planning: Developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that align with company goals.
  • Market research: Conducting research to identify opportunities, threats, and inform decision-making.
  • Data analysis: Analyzing marketing metrics to measure ROI, understand campaign performance, and identify trends.
  • Competitive analysis: Monitoring competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • ROI analysis: Measuring the return on investment for various marketing efforts.
  • Content marketing: Overseeing the creation and distribution of content across various platforms.
  • Social media: Managing social media campaigns and strategy.
  • CRM: Utilizing customer relationship management tools.
  • Email marketing: Developing and executing email marketing campaigns.
  • Brand management: Building and maintaining a strong, consistent brand identity and reputation.
  • Leadership: Motivating and leading a marketing team to achieve objectives.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with various departments, stakeholders, and the team.
  • Team management: Providing coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
  • Collaboration and networking: Working closely with internal departments and external partners.
  • Problem-solving: Critically thinking and solving problems that arise.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Preferably with post-graduate degree in Marketing/Management
  • Minimum of five (5) years working experience, in the same capacity, in marketing, communications, advertising or public relations
  • Work experience in both corporate and educational setting, an advantage but not a requirement
